Many girls dream of beautiful and strong hair, carefully select an individual way to care for them according to the structure of their hair, but for all types there are certain rules of care.

правила ухода за волосамиBasic rules of care:

  1. Cleansing the scalp and hair
  2. Using conditioners, masks and balms for hair, and the difference between them
  3. Hair drying
  4. Using extra leave-in products
  5. Extra suggestions

The first step: washing.

For this stage we use shampoo, each girl chooses which shampoo to use, but if your hair is thin, dry, brittle, colored, you regularly do keratin straightening or Botox procedures, then you should choose a shampoo without SLS.

Many girls pour shampoo directly on the head and at one point. You can not do so, because you risk drying out the hair, the consumption of funds increases. The correct way is to squeeze the maximum amount of detergent in the palm of your hand, lather and apply to the scalp, repeat if necessary. Hair soapy shampoo is not necessary!

After you wash your scalp, simply distribute the liberated foam from the roots of the hair on the entire length and rinse it off with water. This is enough to clean the hair. The washing procedure can be repeated twice, in case you do not wash your hair every day, but every other day, or if it is very dirty.

Conditioners, Masks and Balms

Let's look at the difference between the two. The task of a conditioner is to close the scales after you wash your hair with shampoo, to make your hair visually beautiful, smooth and shiny.

Mask and balm differ in that their time of action on the hair is usually longer than that of the conditioner, due to which they are more aimed at care, but the difference is that balms are usually used for crumbling and volume, while masks nourish and moisturize the hair.

So the basic algorithm is as follows:

  • Shampoo - conditioner - use normally;
  • Shampoo - mask - conditioner - use 1-2 times a week.

In the second case, the conditioner is used to close the scales, as the mask does not have this property.

Hair drying

It is necessary to blow-dry the hair with a hair dryer. Predominantly with warm air, drying hair well, until it is completely dry, combing hair with a comb.
Do not:

  • keep a towel on your head for more than 5 minutes
  • go to bed with a wet head.
  • dry your hair naturally
  • tie and pin hair when it is wet.

We should add that before drying the hair you can use different treatment serums, fluids, so as not to spoil the hair styling afterwards. And after drying you can use oil-based non-washing products that have both caring properties, and just give a shine and crumbliness, which depends on their composition, as they may contain natural oils or silicones.

Additional tips for hair care. It is important to take care of what we brush our hair with. There are many different combs on the market, but it is necessary to choose it individually, depending on the type of your hair and the comfort of use. There are brushes with natural and artificial bristles, wooden combs or massage brushes with wooden teeth, combs made of unnatural materials.

What's the difference?

Natural or synthetic bristles due to the flexibility of their bristles do not tear the hair and do not have a toxic effect on the scalp. The wooden combs with rare teeth should be chosen by owners of dry and brittle hair, and they are also good for wet hair. It's important to choose a good quality wooden comb with a smoothed surface. If you see sticking out chips on your wooden comb you can safely throw it away, it would not make friends with your long and well-groomed hair.

Combs made of plastic and other unnatural materials are good too. They are easy to clean, the sliding teeth will not pull the hair. If you go by trial and error, you're sure to find a comb that works for your hair care needs. It is worth paying attention to the position of hair during sleep, especially for girls with long and/or unruly hair. It is worth tying them into a loose braid, so as not to traumatize them with friction. Do not forget to protect your hair during hot and cold seasons.
